Tabang Para sa Surigao

Surigao, Siargao, Bucas Grande, and Dinagat are badly hit by Super Typhoon Odette. There is no electricity and no network or any digital form of communication here. Peoples homes are devastated. Many have lost their homes. They have no roof over their heads. Some are hungry and thirsty. Some are even lost in thought and don’t know how to start over. People have no news what’s going on or any update. If you wish you help your brothers and sisters in Surigao and the neighboring communities, please course it through the nearest local organizations or through NorthMin LO’s.

It hit us around 2pm on December 17, 2021. Strong gusts caused massive damage. People had to endure 4 and a half hours of wind and rain gusting in all directions. When light came the next day, only then were we able to see the extent of devastation.

People from Surigao have to go out of the Province to get some network connection. We will go off grid when we get back to Surigao and until networks are back. Any help will do and is very much appreciated. JCI Members are also affected. As much as we want to spearhead to help our very own community, it is difficult at this very moment. We will bounce back better and stronger. Pag lig-on Surigao, Siargao, Bucas Grande, og Dinagat! Tindog Surigao, Siargao, Bucas Grande, og Dinagat! Let us all be Nickel Strong! Together we will build back better!
