Water is life. And today, we take a meaningful step in ensuring that the students of Mat-i Elementary School have access to clean water and proper sanitation through the launch of PROJECT HINAW—the construction of handwashing facilities to promote hygiene and well-being.
This initiative is in line with JCI Philippines' National Program: Clean Water and Sanitation, reaffirming our commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6—ensuring access to safe water and sanitation for all.
Spearheaded by JCI Surigao Nickel, in partnership with PICE Surigao Del Norte Chapter and Primewater Surigao Metropolitan, and co-hosted by JCI Surigao Wensie and JCI Surigao North, this project is more than just building handwashing stations—it’s about empowering young learners with the means to stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
Clean water should never be a privilege—it’s a basic right. And together, we are making it accessible, one step at a time.
