JCI Surigao Nickel wishes our Christian brothers and sisters a meaningful Ash Wednesday. As the Lenten season begins, may we find meaning in our lives and our communities. As we prepare for Easter, let us look back on the past year and contemplate how we can make our lives and our communities better and stronger together.
The first line in the JCI Values states that “We believe: That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life”. One interpretation of it is that: We are united by a common bond of faith and we live by the will of our God, and the will of our God is for us to do good for ourselves and our communities, and that life that is lived in harmony with His plan is a life lived worthwhile.
It is in faith that we find and anchor our beliefs to do good for ourselves and our communities. We may have different beliefs and call our God different names, but there is one we can agree on, it is in our belief of doing good for ourselves and our communities do we find peace and meaning in our lives.
