Surigao City, December 11, 2023 – A testament to resilience and environmental guardianship unfolds along the Surigao coastline as JCI Surigao Nickel proudly announces its collaboration with the Provincial Risk Reduction and Management Council (PRRC) of Surigao Del Norte for a momentous Mangrove Planting Activity. This significant event is scheduled to take place on December 11, 2023, at the scenic coastline in Barangay Cagniog, Surigao City.
Recognizing the importance of coastal resilience against natural calamities and human-induced risks, this initiative aims to strengthen our shores through the planting of mangroves. Mangroves play a crucial role in protecting coastal communities by stabilizing shorelines, filtering pollutants, and providing habitat for marine life.
